I just learned of a great series of calls that is happening in January with some of the top female throwers in the US participating. The calls happen Sunday and Tuesday nights at 7PM Central time. Upcoming speakers include Aretha Thurmond (discus), Amber Campbell (hammer throw), Britney Henry (hammer throw), Suzy Powell Roos (discus), Kara Patterson (javelin), and Stephanie Brown Trafton (discus). And this goes for all sorts of sports – whether you’re getting a group of wannabe skiers through a rigorous list of ski exercises or you’re training a baseball [...] Steve Bartholomew over at Dominator Athletics is very serious about testing his implements. He has thrown them out of moving vehicles, run over them with semi trucks, had the top throwers in the world throw them, and even shot them out of a cannon. Check out Steve’s shot put test below. Jacko Gill recently posted a new video of his training. It looks to me like he has put on some good weight since the last videos I’ve seen of him. He writes at the end of the video that he is up near 22o pounds now. It is rare to see such a top talent in the throws, forego the college system. It will be interesting to see how [...] 
A couple of weeks ago, John Godina made the trip back to Wisconsin for his Phase 1 Athlete Clinic. The clinic was great, drawing athletes and coaches of all ages. There were over 45 athletes in attendance. John was the lead instructor, and made it a point to personally give feedback to each athlete in attendance.
