UW-Whitewater will host the Masters Midwest Regional Championship Pentathlon & Elite Meet on Sunday June 10, 2012. The meet is USATF sanctioned, so marks will qualify for those trying to improve marks for the Olympic Trials.

Congratulations to Shelbi Vaughan from Mansfield, Texas, who PR’d by 14 feet at the Texas Relays last Friday to establish a new National Record for the high school girls discus. Her mark of 191′ 6″ broke Anna Jelmini’s 2009 record by over a foot. Check out the ESPN article here.
